After a decade of research-driven conservation and renovation, the Hall of Mental Cultivation in the Palace Museum reopened to the public on December 26, 2025.
Visitors can now view the plaque inscribed by Emperor Yongzheng himself with the characters “Zhongzheng Renhe” (Justice and Benevolence), along with Emperor Qianlong’s 4-square-meter study—the Hall of Three Rarities, a one-of-a-kind literary space.
